BookHolders "1,000,000th Book Giveaway" Official Rules:
- Promotion Period:The Sweepstakes begins May 8, 2009 at 12:01am EST and ends June 1, 2009 at 11:59pm EST
- How to Enter:
An eligible BookHolders account holder is automatically entered for every book dropped off at BookHolders' Store locations in the Advantage Program during the promotion period. Each book must be eligible for the Advantage Program and can only be used to enter the Giveaway once.
Cash Now transactions at BookHolders' Store locations are also eligible for entry by filling out the Cash Now Entry Form. The amount of entries is determined by the amount of books sold to BookHolders during the Cash Now transaction. Each book sold to BookHolders and eligible for Cash Now counts as ONE (1) entry. Form may be submitted only once per Cash Now transaction. The Cash Now Entry Form is available at BookHolders during the promotion period and may only be submitted during the Cash Now transaction. Ask the clerk for the Cash Now Entry Form during checkout.
Alternate Method of Entry: You may participate in the Giveaway by sending a 3X5 postcard with your name, street address, city, state, zip code, phone number, email address hand printed and mail in a stamped #10 envelope to: BookHolders.com, "1,000,000th Book Giveaway", 7417 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD 20740. All entries must be received by June 1, 2009. Limit one entry per person.
- Eligibility:Open to legal residents of the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico and BookHolders Employees), who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional acceptance of these Official Rules and Sponsor's decisions, which are final. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements as set forth in these Official Rules.

Drawing: A drawing will be based on the 1,000,000th book that is entered into the system not dropped off.
- Prize:The prize is one $1000 dollar check. The winner will be notified via email and the check will be available for pickup at store at which entry is received Federal, state, and local taxes on the prize and any expenses relating to the acceptance and use of a prize not specified herein as being awarded (including, without limitation, meals, gratuities, and souvenirs) are the responsibility of the winner.
- Odds:Odds of winning a prize are based on the number of eligible Sweepstakes entries received during the Promotion Period.
- General Rules:Where permitted by law, entrants that become prize winners grant to BookHolders, and those acting pursuant to BookHolders's permission, the right at any time to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the world wide web, winner's name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness and biographical information as news or information and for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without additional consideration, and without review, notice or approval.
- Limitation of Liability:Releasees are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any sweepstakes-related materials; for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible, or postage-due mail or entries; or for transactions that are lost, misdirected, or fail to enter into the processing system; or are processed, reported, or transmitted late or incorrectly; or are lost for any reason, including computer, telephonic, paper-transfer, or human error, or electronic, computer, or telephonic malfunction, damage, error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, or any combination thereof. If, for any reason, this sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, or infection by computer viruses, bugs, or tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, actions of entrants, technical failures, or any other causes corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the sweepstakes, BookHolders reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any entry or entrant and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the sweepstakes and at its sole discretion award a prize from among all eligible entries validly received prior to the action requiring such modification. This sweepstakes is governed by laws of the United States with venue in Maryland, MD for the resolution of all claims and disputes.
- Winner List or Rules Requests:For the name of winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: BookHolders.com, "1,000,000th Book Giveaway", (Please list either Winner or Rules Requests), 7417 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD 20740. Requests must be received by August 1, 2009.
